In the morning of October 16th, the vice President Wang Zonghua received the deputy Director of the College of Computer Science of Dalhousie University in Canada and the professor Philip Cox and his entourage. Wang Zonghua firstly warmly welcomed the visit of Professor Philip Cox to FAFU. He pointed out that, in recent years, the cooperation and communication between FAFU and Dalhousie University have gradually developed to “deep-level”, and the cooperation between the two universities has achieved fruitful results, especially the achievement of the undergraduate Sino-Canadian "2 + 2" jointly cultivation program which showed a very effective result. Wang Zonghua also emphatically introduced the internationalization school-running ideas and measures of non-independent legal entity secondary college “The Sino-Canadian International College” of FAFU. He hoped that on the basis of existing cooperation and through the visit of Professor Philip Cox, the two universities would further cooperate in the fields of education levels, disciplinary Majors, talents cultivations, scientific research and exchanges of teachers and students, etc..
Professor Philip Cox expressed his gratitude for the warmly reception of FAFU and fully affirmed the achievement of the internationalization school-running ideas. He said that, the main purpose of this interview was to promote the deep cooperation with FAFU in the related fields, and he hoped that the two sides would strengthen their cooperation through a variety of ways such as students exchanges, cooperation programs of scientific research , setting of disciplinary Majors, exchanges of teachers for studying, etc., to actively promote the substantial development in various fields for both sides.
