The journalist learned fromthe College of Plant Protection that from October 28th to 31st, there would be more than 150 entomologists at home and abroad who wouldattend the international conference titledthe “Molecular ecology and insect pest management” jointly hosted by the ChineseEntomological Society and FAFU, which would bring ahugeacademic feast for the scientific andtechnological personnel ofinsectsat home and abroad.
The conference consists of plenary lectures, panel discussionsand so on, and will arrange 12 plenary talks and 4 sub-groupreportsto provide a communication platform for scientific and technical personnelofinsects at home and abroadtoshare the ongoing frontier scientificresearch results, and resolve therelated important scientific problems of pest managementbased on genomics, molecular biology and ecology,andpromotethe development of insect molecular ecology and pest control inChina.

Darby of University of Liverpool in England, Dr. Yuan Yuren of National University of Singapore, Dr. Yong-gyun Kim of Andong National University in Korea, Dr. Alfred Handler of U.S. Department of Agriculture, Researcher Huang Yongping of Institute of Plant Physiology & Ecology, SIBS, CAS, Professor Geoffrey Michael Gurr,the “1,000 Talent Plan”expert of FAFU and other experts and scholars at home and abroad will make theme report or specialreport in the conference.
